I want an Owl. I'm desperate to show my family how much energy is being used by their sloppy habits.

Where is the cheapest place to by an Owl energy monitor? I'm with EON and I'm pretty sure they don't give them away. Any Quidco offers?

TIA

Mike

  • Hi there cheesy.mike,

I got an energy monitor from E on, when I changed tarriff.

according to the website, a free monitor wasn't included, neither was tesco club card point, but I specifically asked, and got them both.

The monitor has cut my usage by a 1/3, it's an eye opener.

If you don't ask, you don't get, so give it a try,

    Regards

Try your local council library, the area I live in will loan an Owl energy monitor for a maximum of six weeks.

Eon only provide the unit free to people changing to a specific tariff. Given that I am on a really good long-term fixed rate I'm not about to change. They do sell the Owl, but it costs £48, which is rather more than the street price of sub-£35.

I want to own a unit long term so borrow/rent isn't really worth the trouble. Nice suggestion though, thanks.

A well known internet auction site appears to be flooded with them at present with many recent final prices less than £25 delivered.

    40% possible quidco too!
(This amount is based on the internet auction website revenue - not on the price you pay.:p )
