Partial Delivery of Order

Hi All,
We ordered a travel system from babyzoop. Everything has arrived except for the carrycot part.
The carrycot costs £175 as a stand alone purchase. They have offered us an inferior carrycot in a different colour and a £10 reduction.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that if part of your order wasn't delivered in time, you can claim the costs of buying the item from another retailer ie £175. Can anyone confirm if this is correct and point me in the direction of where I may have read it.
We placed our order on 31st December 2008 - we need the carrycot around the 10th May.
Thanks

Not much activity on this board.
Anyway - after my wife emailed them again (6th or 7th time) they have come up trumps and delivered the goods, funny how as soon as her emails were starting to be a bit more pushy the item is delivered the next day.
I'm annoyed as I was getting myself pysched up for a fight.
Not sure why I'm writing this as there is hardly anyone on this board. Oh well back to House prices board.0 -

I am not aware of any such law/regulation. You could have returned the part you have and got a refund but as your now sorted its irrelevant.
Congratulation for getting it sorted and your forthcoming bundle of joy"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
