Tesco refused to credit 1000 pts recently - said I needed to provide them with 'proof' that the code was specifically mine to use !!!!

Wasn't aware that something was afoot !!

If they ARE in a dispute with Tescos (legal action) i dont think legally that they are allowed to saying anything at all about it. Even not allowed to mention it i think.
I hope Martins not in trouble with them. He is so nice and his site has saved me a bomb . I'll be happy to boycott Tescos if i find that he does get in serious trouble with them.

If there is a dispute, legal or otherwise, then saying something to that effect is not going to cause a problem. Only if they discuss the facts of any case or dispute will the moderators / site/ Martin be in 'trouble'.

In other words, there is absolutely nothing preventing them from putting a message on here to stop all the speculation.

Ask them what proof they need.

Tell them you saw the advert on a leaflet etc and that once it had been accepted online you threw it away.

Also remind them that if they are not going to honour a discount or points code then they have to notify you so that you can cancel the order - THEIR terms & conditions.

Finally, and most importantly, never use a code that you do not know the original source of, as you are asking for problems. This means where it was originally published, not just details of a website where you saw it.

Just to let you know we've had to take the thread down for the moment as we have an issue to address. We'd like to ask that you don't start any more threads about it. Please bear with us. We'll let you know more when we can.

Ok, Andrea has already posted this at the start of the thread but I think I should remind some users of this post. Andrea has said that they will let you know more when they can so please stop posting demanding more information.

    Yes, but then she said
    this should answer anyones' questions.

    before adding
Just to let you know the thread's been taken down again.

I simply refer to my previous statement

The very fact that she hasn't answered clearly means that there is a reason behind it. Why not let's wait. I am 100% positive that she is not not replying just to bug us ;)

They send out vouchers over a few weeks (they are the biggest retailer!) so don't fret - I received mine on Monday morning. :D

Panic over - I received my vouchers this morning!! Have decided, though, to steer clear of all codes not "officially" mine - not worth the worry.

I have a friend who works within Tesco. Tesco are aware of the abuse relating to Tesco Vouchers and also the R&R Policy. They are currently reveiwing the way that the vouchers are issued as it would seem that over 10 Million pounds worth of vouchers have been used this year alone against peoples online shopping orders. They see the e-coupons as being the biggest issue they need to deal with and then thereafter they are to deal with the R&R issue.

Just to warn people also the multiple accounts for shopping online is also somethjing else they are looking into, as they are aware many people have set up multiple accounts from the same address to enable them to use codes again and again. I dunno if they have something into their T&C say only one account allowed.

Dont shoot the messenger just relaying what I have heard

    March Goal £310.00
    March TD £517.13
