I have a 3 wheeler called a quinny zapp. i use it with the maxi cosi car seat to make a travel system. i find it really easy to move, incredibly light and small and just brilliant.
the big down side is there is no bag/holder bit, but you can normally put a net bag/huggies bag from boots onto it with no problem.:A Boots Tart :A0 -

I loved my sons mamas and papas 03 series pram, very sturdy comfortable and stylish looking but on the downside quite heavywhich is why i then bought a maclaren quest which isa great lightweight pushchair and is still going now!
ps i had a super dreamer for my daughter..they were great!£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0 -
I have a quinny zapp its brilliant ...apparently the bag it comes with fastens on the back to create a bag/ holder but i've never been able to work out how,
I also have a quinny 3xl which is brilliant for off road ,fields ,country walks ect( we live on a farm..)however its a bit heavy and takes up a bit of space in the car. so in my opinion zapp for about town and shopping and 3xl for country0 -
Try this website, it should help recommend all the different nursery equipment needed. I would say their recommendations are incredibly useful, and I can agree with the vast majority.

12 months on from having dd, I would say if your daughter is going to be using the bus alot then a good quality light weight buggy that lies back is the way to go eg the maclaren techno. If shes in and out of the car then a travel system is good as you dont have to disturb the baby. I had a Mamas and papas ultima system given me and it was great when she was tiny as it had a carrycot that we used in the house as well instead of a mosses basket it not a 3 wheeler though. We bought the car seat that fitted it and I used it until she was 1 although I couldnt lift it out of the car after she got to about 9 months old. I then suplimented this with a lightweight buggy from mothercare its rubbish the handles are to low for anybody over 5'7 and the wheel fell off this week. DH has fixed it for now but I'm saving for a Maclaren. All my friend that have had 3 wheeler have all said that they need have a moveable front wheel or they are a right pain in shops. There lots of Mothercare Urban Detour ones in the paper or on ebay and I think you can get a car seat to fit these.
Sorry to waffle and HTHSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
I have a Quinny freestyle 3 - absolutely fab as you can use it with a carrycot for the first months (and the car seat as others have said). It is an absolute dream to push compared with other pushchairs and gives a really smooth ride. However it is on the heavy side, so we use a little McLaren for places like shopping malls (only for when they are six months plus though...). The Quinny also has a good range of handle heights which is brilliant for my husband who is very tall. And it is fantastic for jogging with as well.
But, as a New Zealander, I feel duty bound to point out that the Mountain Buggy is also supposed to be fantastic (it is made in NZ) - my best friend here has one, and my sister in law in NZ loves hers.
Make sure you get a three wheeler with a moveable wheel - fixed is a pain in the backside. The Quinny has a cunning tilting wheel system that is really good.0 -
I had a Quinny Zapp and hated it! My friend had the same problem it just didn't feel sturdy enough and as soon as baby grows, it is quite small. Also, seat doesn't recline and is fixed in quite a slouched position. I also found that although it fold small it doesn't really want to stay folded. These were my findings but as mentioned in previous posts some people love it so it is down to you what suits some doesn't suit others.
Before you buy anything I would advise going round the shops with a short list and testing them all, then of course don't buy them from the shop -find a bargain or post a wanted notice.
You need to consider:-
* Ease of pushing
* Height of handle
* Maneouvreability
* Ease of folding
* Size when up
* Size when folded
* Where you will be using it (hard/soft ground) and whether you want one to do it all or like folly says one for town one for country
* accessories you want
* transport you will be using.
For my second baby I developed a pramaddiction. I had 9! (Prams that is - not babies!) I have now recovered and I have one having sold all prams and pushchairs owned except for the Mamas and Papas Aria (stonking good deal at Argos pushchair, bag, raincover all in for £99.99, this pushchair is very compact, folds easily and highly spec'd with tray for baby with cup holder, cup holder for mum, and it reclines, plus accessories mentioned). Also if size matters! then combi dash is supposed to be good.Irony.

I love my Quinny Zapp. I haven't had any problems folding it or keeping it folded unless I leave the cosytoes on. Then it doesn't close.
My son is almost 2 and he is still very comfortable in it as it seems to be wider than most pushchairs. There is the problem with it not reclining but as my son hasn't slept in his buggy since about 6 months old this isn't a problem for me.
They are really easy to push but not much good if you want it for going over rough ground as there's no suspension. I'm also quite tall (especially in my heels
) and the handle height is quite good, you can't change it though.
One other good point compared with most other 3 wheelers is that it isn't HUGE so when you are in shops you aren't taking out pedestrians because you can't tell where the front of the buggy is!:smileyhea0
