Laptop failing to charge

My laptop was working fine and then all of a sudden, it will not charge. It says charging on the bottom right hand corner, but the amount never goes up from 24%. Then if you try to take it off charge, it shuts itself down. When you plug the charger in when it is shut down, it flashes orange, then goes green as if it is charging but then the light goes off. I have checked in control panel and it says that the battery is healthy.

Any ideas, greatly appreciated.

Take the battery out and unplug the charger.

Hold the power button for 30 seconds.

    Put the battery back in

Turn the laptop on (to check)

Plug the charger in and see if it works.

    Hope this helps

Ok - you might not believe this one... but IT WORKS.

You batterey is old and tired - and has lost the will to recharge.

    Take off the battery

Wrap it tightly inside a plastic bag.

Now... place it into the FREEZER... you need to deep freeze it.. to drain out ALL the life in it....

Leave it there for at least TWO days... now get it out - you now need to defrost it - slowly - just unwrap it from the bag, wrap it in a teatowel and leave it somewere not hot, just dry.

Ok - 4 days should have passed - and the battery should be totally flat and totally dry. - not fit it onto you laptop - and charge it... charge it for a good 8/12 hours... without turning it on - resist the templation - it should be worth the wait.

Now... it should now work - just like it was brand new.

UW reps bring their company into disrepute when they come here and break the rules by using the forums to advertise.

You also break the rules by putting your link to your company website in every post.

    The problems are all yours.

Your posts keep getting deleted, yet you persist in breaking the rules.

    1) You are not allowed to advertise your company - which you do in every post.

    2) You are not allowed to post links for personal gain.

    Your posts break the rules:

    1) Your sig includes the link to your website

    2) Your avatar advertises your company.

But you know uw reps aren't allowed to use these forums as an excuse to advertise as your other posts have all been delted.
