I lost my job on Wednesday and am unemployed as at the end of this month. Just when I was getting my finances under control, I hit a massive hurdle.
I've only been here 2 years as well so will only get 2 weeks wages as redundancy payout.

So sorry to hear your news. I think these times are scary for most of us. Especially on this board where most of us are treading water at the best of times and to suddenly have that land on your lap must be a real blow. If you guys haven't already, do check out the redundancy board on here for links and advice. Theres a great thread by Numpty Monkey that talks about his experiences too. I found it helpful going through my redundancy and approaching the JobCentre. For what its worth you will get through it.
