Hi
if I go back to NTL (who are currently offering a £5.50 per month package) can I sell my SKY digi box on eBAY? And do I take the card out?
It is out of warranty.
thanks

I advertised my NTL box on ebay with no remote and it was taken off by ebay within a day. I was told it was encouraging illegal accessing of digital TV or soemthign along those lines. However, one of the poeple who bid on it offered me £40 direct + P&P and paid via paypal so I posted it through to them.
A word of caution though with NTL - regardless of how low their prices are they always make their money from you - either through stressing you out with random bills or poor digital service. my advice would be stay well clear - freeview is a better option if cash is an issue.
Hope this helps.0 -

NTL loan you the box whereas Sky sell them to you as part of the package. Thats why it was taken off by Ebay.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

We had NTL for over 6 years with very little problems. We cancelled last June because we got married & someone bought us a new TV with Freeview built in, I contacted NTL to say could they collect the box - it's still here! I have phoned them quite a few times about it but still it's here. I was going to put it on ebay soon - any other suggestions?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

I wouldnt have had an answer for this one until today but now I'd say - sell it! Ours seems to have gone faulty this morning (says no signal being recieved) and sky cant sort it - say £65 for someone to come and have a look, so guess its cheaper for people like me to get a new one!0

Selling the box is no problem but you cannot sell the card as you do not own it. In sky T&C they retain ownership.
Many people have been kicked off Ebay for attempting to sell the cards so i would advise caution.0 -

Tell Sky that as you have no way of watching, you'll just have to cancel your subscription. That usually gets an engineer out to you for free.0
