Donating a Television Set in Good Working Order

I have recently upgraded my television set for a new one. The television is in full working order and has a great picture and sound together with a dedicated stand. I imagine that the TV has several good years left in it. I simply wanted to update it for one of those new LCD TVs. However, I really do not want to throw away the old TV if I could possible donate it to a charity that could either use it themselves (i.e like a hospital, school, hostel or family in need etc) or sell it to raise money. Could anybody recommend a charity that takes things like a Television set, so that I know that it has gone to a good home. I would much rather donate than try to sell on Ebay. If its of any help, I live in South Wales. Thanks

Speak to your local council's homeless section. I am sure they would know someone who would appreciate it.0

You are in the same position as many , good working tv , shame to dump .
But check out local free cycle in your area. mine has ALWAYS gone some on.
Go to local tip, there will be a pile. Its a shame but such is life.
Ps another problem with anything electrical , Health and lousy safety,
Takes money to check your donation.0 -
If you google "furniture recycling project" plus your local area you may find that someone will pick it up, get it checked out, and then sell it on, all the while benefitting a charity.Signature removed for peace of mind0
