Move away from BT??

Hi

Decided to get on track with my finances, and am starting with my BT account. Currently, I receive my phone and internet service through BT - it used to be 'Option 1', but I think it's now called Unlimited Evening and Weekend.

Basically, every quarter, I am charged £36.89 for phone line rental, £38.27 for broadband service (limited to 10gb per month) and around £27.64 actual call costs (even though we don't use the phone that much...).

Are there cheaper deals out there? I'm particularly keen to move internet providers, as 10gb per month isn't enough for what I need....

Cheers

Speak to BT sales and see what they have to offer. I pay £38.50 per month for unlimited broadband and free geographical, 0870 & 0845 call on option 3 contract. It could possibly be cheaper with other providers but I am quite happy with my service. A quick call to them might surprise you.

    Try TalkTalk
Despite their early problems and bad publicity I have had trouble-free service for nearly two years now. £19.99 per month gets me Line Rental : Broadband : free 01 & 02 landline calls all day and night, free calls to landlines in many overseas countries. - they do not do free 0845 or 087 numbers, though.
My average monthly bill for all of this - £23, but I use my free minutes on my mobile for calls to mobile numbers.
You can get cheaper deals with them, depending on your individual requirements.
