Parking in Cambridge

going to cambridge for a few days staying at a travellodge, but it says it has limited parking, and it costs £15 a day (take it that doesnt mean 24hrs from arrival, but more a calender day?)
We will be arriving quite late in the evening, so im working on the basis that the car park will most prob be full, so where else can i park. We want to leave the car in a carpark the whole time we are there, as the hotel is quite near the centre, so will be walking everywhere
i thought maybe the park and ride, but you cant leave your car there overnight.
so where is a good long stay carpark, that isnt silly money, and is easy to get into the centre from?

Utilise the Coldhams Lane Sainsbury's store car park. They are a short bus ride from town..have security cameras and no-one seems to check whether cars are there for long periods of time.
I would suggest parking at the top end of the car park...behind the petrol station.
You could always go back a couple of times...and move the car. No-one would notice, as it is a very , very busy store. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
Just a thought.I would expect the travellodge car park to empty a bit in the morning so you should be able to get in then for the rest of your stay. Then you only have to worry about the first night and it might be free parking close by after a certain time.Or,`phone the lodge and ask how full the park gets.I stayed 3 nights at Farringdon near Christmas and there was never more than 2 cars there.0
