I've got 8k and not sure where would be the best place to save it. I have got 3000 in an isa already, so i guess i should transfer another 3000 to it in april. Therefore I have 5k left.
Is it best to get a bond, or put it in a savings account. Im also thinking of opening a regular savers account like abbey monthly saver. I already have a regular saver with hsbc.
Also should i keep 1000 spare somewhere for emergencies and where would be the best place to do that? (or is it best to keep it in my current account?)
I would appreciate any help.

I assume you are with HSBC, why not open one of their savings accounts and put any 'excess' funds into there. You can instantly transfer money back to your current account when you need it.0

ill keep it safe
what about putting it in a notice account like nationwide bonus 60...
or transferring 250 permonth to a reg saver to gain 8% intrest...
not to sure what to say if i had 8k it would last long but my debts would be cut by more than half.. damn i wish...
i think its wise to keep some aside for emergencys though... :j OFFICIAL DFW NERD NO 159 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH OUR DEBTS:beer: :j

There's plenty of regular saving account you can use. I see you've already got the HSBc, why not go for Alliance and Leicester 10%, Barclay's 10%, halifax regular savers? I'm not sure if you need internet access for these though, but im pretty sure it just gets DD of your current account.Olympic 2007 challenge Started 9 Jan 2007[strike]Aim Silver 2007.00[/strike] Aim Gold 3007.00 Achieved so far:782
