I have just had my replacement Halifax One card and the agreement that it was stuck to states that I have 0% for 9 months on Balance Transfers and Purchases! I didn't expect that again, so phoned to check when it was effective - is it from the date of the new card?
First adviser - checked and passed me on
Second adviser - checked and said
This is a common question - it is talking about the original deal, and is not effective now!
HOWEVER - the only dates on the agreement are the valid from and expiry date of the card!!
WHERE DO I STAND??
Many thanks

Its clearly a mistake. You know its a mistake too. They will just come back and say its for 9 months from when the card is opened.
Not being pedantic, but mine was 0% for 12 months. Have you had your card for 3 months?0 -
I had this on my last monthly statement as well. Meant to phone and ask them but never got round to it.
My original deal was 9 months 0% (2 years ago) and this says 9 months 0% on BTs.
Why do they bother putting that on there if it is not applicable? It just makes people think that they have another deal coming up. I will be closing my card soon anyway when my annual cashback is paid. Is there any chance they will try and tempt me with another 0% deal when I phone to close it?0 -

When I spoke to 2nd adviser she thought that this would not be honoured but they may make a lower than the standard offer to keep me as I said I planned to close the account.
Hope this helps!
I would like to hold them to their offer - but not sure if I have the nerve to try!!

No - it's more than 2 years old now. I agree it is a mistake - but do you think I can make them honour it?
