Restaurant e-mail offers

Just thought I'd share this one with you. A friend of mine recently used a 2 for 1 meal voucher in a chain restaurant and had a very nice meal, however the restaurant was freezing as the heating had broken.
She complained about the heating and asked for a refund / discount and was told that the vouvher she was using meant that she couldn't have a discount as it wasn't to be used with any other offer however she persisted and eventually got 20% off her bill and the two for 1 offer
I think the lesson is that just beause you're using an offer, you shouldn't accept low levels of service
