Need to top up some veg rasied beds I have just made. The Wickes Growbags work out a little cheaper than then the compost.

What is the differacne between them? Can I use the grow bags?

Should I mix 50/50 soil to compost ?

I often use growbags for this sort of thing - i don't know what's the difference but I do find that growbag compost has quite a lot of weed seeds in so I mulch with something else

See if you can get any local manure as well. Works out alot cheaper.
I used to know the difference between a growbag and and compost, but I've forgotten it. I suspect the difference isn't worth worrying about.

I have some local manure don't want to risk it with the possible Aminopyralid herbicide/weed killer in the manure.

If you know where the manure comes from, just ask if they have used the chemicals to spray the land where the horses have been... and apparently where their hay comes from as well IIRC.
