Malta

FInally decided to go to Malta around 20th - 21st March for 7 days (ideally from Birmingham). OH has found a deal at Thomson that gives a choice of 3 hotels (Bugibba holiday complex, plaza regency or topas) for a total price of around £450.

Peple say you either love or hate Malta,

to me its an OK place , been 3 times, Ok for a bit of sun

The plaza is in Sliema , whilst a working town, perhaps also more to do.

I think Qawra / Bugibba is looking a bit run down, although not stayed at either of the hotels listed ( I stayed at New Dolemen, Salina wharf and Riza apartments)

Flights at less than £85per head with thomson on 21st

    similiar with http://www.malta-bargains.com/flbirmingham.asp

( I found them good on flights , but would notr persoanlly use them for Hotels)

perhaps scope to consider packaging yourself with a nice apartment- usually loads available that time of year - expedia got loads, including a hotel room in Bugibba complex ( not sure if Thomson is bigger apartment) at only £135 !

We hated it, but a lot of people love it.

We preferred Gozo, we stayed at the Marsalforn Hotel, which was lovely.
