    Hi Nicki

Put your slow cooker on Auto - means it can be on for LONG periods of time without overcooking the food.

If you don't have auto (mine doesn't) leave it on low. I sometimes put mine on at 6am and get home at 9pm and it's fine (in fact it's more than fine, it's FABULOUS because I'm so hungry by then :D )

Thanks to both of you!! I don't have auto either I have; Low (which the instruction manual states is not for cooking it is the keep warm setting) Medium and high, I think I will bung some flour in and put on low, then hope for the best:confused:

In that case, I think your medium is the equivalent of my low, so keep it on medium so that it keeps cooking, as I don't think you should keep it on low for too long. As long as it is bubbling you're fine.

Been to town, deeply unpleasant experience: I hate it there and have told myself I'll stick to online and local shopping from now on. Got back later than planned and just had a coffee and skinny cake for my (late) lunch, so lasagne saved for tomorrow.

I need to get on with the list now and also with prepping dinner....

    HHC 4.30-5pm anyone?

I've just woken up  Had a nap for 3 and a half hours! Ooops! Am sitting on sofa trying to get befuddled brain to work. Will go and do something useful in a mo, probably go and do more washing up!
