Long wait for sofa now would like to cancel order

On 22/11/2008 my family & I ordered a 2 seat sofa & 3 seat sofa from a local furniture retailer. We paid £400 deposit on the belief that the sofa would take 5-10 weeks to arrive. 15 weeks later and various phonecalls later we've had enough of waiting and want our money back & want to cancel the order.
The order was £2098 in total and the receipt says delivery in 5-10 weeks subject to availabilty.
Their excuse is they have not had a delivery from their supplier LayZboy.
Where do I stand???:confused:

    Write to them, recorded delivery, saying they have breached their contract with you and you would like a refund, no excuses, within 30 days, the goods will either "magically" appear or they will have to refund you...
    If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
