Paying 6 Months Rent Up-Front - But Claim Back Monthly LHA????

Hi, Im after some advice.
Im going to view a property with my partner and child tomorrow.
I have recently had my hours lowered,so my income on paper isn't that high.
But i have been saving for a while.
So i could pay the 6 months (roughly £5000) upfront.
I haven't got any savings over £6000
I can see this being my only way,as they will say i don't earn enough otherwise.
If we get the go ahead, Could i then fill out the forms, and start claiming the monthly LHA Housing benefit im due?
Im going in the morning,so any help will be great.
