Okay, but hard drives can be replaced can't they.Anyways ~ have to see how you get on with that
You 'may' find your hard drives on its way to the scrap yard
Is NOSCRIPT working at all?
I'll try it now.
EDIT: No it won't but I've got the feeling its zonealarm stopping it. I'll tackle that next.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

haha
I sure hope it works after all this
Yeah, you can replace hardrives. Make sure the harddrive you have now is 'backed up' just in case:idea:0 -
Unloaded zonealarm and restarted the computer. It went through a safety check Chkdsk.
I then went to NOSCRIPT and used the direct download link instead. I had the firefox banner appear at the top of the screen stopping downloading from that site.
Used the clicky box [allow] and I have now managed to down load it.
Firefox stopping its own add ons????? Strange.
Why did I want it anyway? :rotfl:£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

A question about replacing hard drives.
I don't have a separate disc for windows XP etc, it is partitioned on my hard drive. What can I do to stop the risk of possibly loosing it?£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

I've run a new COMBOFIX log and all the original problems ie: corrupt files have gone.

The computer is so much faster than it has been for a while.:j£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Well firefox clearly DOESNT stop its own addons. Either you clicked to cancel by accident or something has changed the settings
You wanted it so you dont get infected by 'drive by' scripts and cant get redirected from a bank page to a bogus bank page say

I hold my hand up. Ive never backed up a drive to disc before so unsure.
I believe this should ~

And this to bootup ~

The idea is your hardrive is 'cloned' to discs. Then when you insert your new hardrive you should be able to put the discs in and have a perfect copy of the original hard drive on the new one
However, youd be best starting a new thread for it as im sure other people who HAVE done it will probably have better software to use:idea:0 -
Thank you for your help and patience. :T
My desktop you make your own recovery disc.
The laptop you just system restore back to factory settings using the F10 button and following options. This allows you to over come major system failure. Last time caused but a twelve year old.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Be a good idea to keep updating and running Malwarebytes and SUPERANTISPYWARE alternating weekly (Combofix shouldnt be run 'willy nilly')
Download SUPERANTISPYWARE (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

I'll save that one for when I have more time.
