Ok, still on my research quest
Can anyone suggest some site building software? Cheap. Or free! Or just simply the best option?
I'm still a rookie at this
Thanks

I'm not 100% sure at the moment but I'm looking into niche sites. So it would likely involve some affiliate marketing.
I was thinking of a blog too and would probably use Wordpress for that... but I was stuck for the best choice for other types of sites.

i have used weebly.com for my affiliate sites. just cut and paste your ad html code into the editor.
free hosting, easy to use, with no ads from them (apart from a text link). Easy to SEO as well0 -
I use Wordpress because of all the handy plug ins you can get... however, choosing a theme is a b*gger. I can never find one I like... I probably spend 10 hours per week every week surfing for new free themes and I'm never satisfied with what I've got.... I should buy one really.

I have played around with Weebly but didn't think about trying it out for affiliate links. Is this a successful way of doing it? And you don't use the weebly pro account at all?PasturesNew wrote: »I use Wordpress because of all the handy plug ins you can get... however, choosing a theme is a b*gger. I know what you mean about themes
I too do the 'too many hours' searching for that perfect theme :rotfl:
Do you just use wordpress for blogging or is it possible to use it for other things?

no i don't use the weebly pro account. As it's free its a good sounding board for a new website.
i use affiliate future and adsense . My sites get a google listing quite quickly, and you can use your own domain or free sub domain.
ive pm'ed you one of mine so you can see what i mean, though i wish i had a more niche subject.0 -
Thanks! I'll PM you back

I would also suggest starting at wordpress for a full freebie but there are other systems like Joomla and Drupal you may want to look into as well. they will all do for start up sites in my opinion“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.”0
