Court was nice and simple. OR - fair, reasonable, quite quick to respond to emails (generally) and apart from not liking Co-op accounts open prior to br I would say all of my experiences with Brighton OR's has been more than satisfactory.

Any more details, please feel free to drop me a PM :)

Did you open one beforehand? we were planning on doing that to get ourselves organised and to give personnel plenty of time to change our bank details over and set up our d/d's again.

What will they do if we open one up beforehand?

You could always try and open it beforehand but it may get closed down. Whatever you do DON'T go BR with any money in your account - take it all out even if you put it back in the next week.

If it does get closed down I think the Coop will open you a new one quite quickly. If you were anywhere else in the country I'd say open it pre-BR.

Oh triffic! I've opened a Co Op account to make sure I can get all my benefits switched over in time. There are no funds in it yet though. What did the OR do/say about yours? Did it get frozen?

XHTB and I opened our accounts pre-BR - 3 in total, 1 each, plus 1 joint. The OR made us close them down and we had to open new ones. Co-op were quite happy for us to run them, but the OR said because they were pre-BR we had to close them. So we had to set up all new DDs, change salaries, etc a second time. And they told us we had to do that before they saw the amount of money in there  We had rent, etc in the accounts and had to shift things around pretty smartish. It would seem it's something only Brighton make you do, and it might not happen again, but I just wanted to warn you.
