New savings accounts from Barclays

we will protect our retail savings customers from the additional cut and maintain their rates at the current level.

I guess that means the rates will remain crap......

really the only good thing mentioned by that is the cash isa and that monthly saver will stay as it is

There will be a new ISA account (Golden ISA) for the new tax year though starting from tomorrow. http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/BRC1/jsp/brccontrol?task=homefreegroup&value=16092&target=_self&site=pfs

As for other types/range of savings account, I don't know. We will see in a few days time.
