Hi, i'm looking to transfer around $3400 from a HSBC personal account in the UK to a HSBC account in Hong Kong, can anyone give a rough estimate of how long it will take if i submit the payment online on Monday at 8am (or as close as possible). Also, is there anyway to speed up the transfer i.e. an extra fee or similar? Thanks.

The money should be credited Wednesday and you are likely to be charged £6 (I think).0

Thanks, do you know of any quick way to transfer, i must admit i'm not too savvy with the terminology but can SWIFT or CHAPS be used? Wiretransfer? A next business day transfer would be ideal.0

Umm, telephone HSBC and ask seems the obvious course of action.
You can phone them 7 days a week.0 -
CHAPS is for intra-UK payments. SWIFT is the worldwide interbank clearing system, and probably not applicable as HSBC can clear the payment internally (which will be cheaper and faster).
Your best bet is to talk to them about it.0
