Hi, I have succesfully bought my first home with reading many posts on here. I do have a couple of questions.
Is it my or the previous owner to advise the utility companies of the change? I presume it is theirs but is it best to check they have provided the correct info and readings?
Secondly which is the best ID/bill to change first. Because usually banks want a driving license with your new address on or a passport. Which is the easist to change first????
Thanks

You need to tell your utility companies and give them readings. If you have the new owner's name then you can give this to them to. It's important to give your own reading so that there is no dispute when the new people give their first reading.
You can change everything in one go, you don't need proof of your new address. Some banks will accept a simple telephone call to change your address, though mine expects a letter.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
