Tried this yesterday at tescos with the self serve took any voucher I presented could not believe it!0

They let me use 5 tokens as long as they stock the item and they are different.
Yesterday I finished all my vouchers! I paid £1.90 for a £7.80 shop at waitrose. The lady at the checkout was very sweet (I had a toddler with me and the shop was quiet) and took of £1.50 for a Free Actimel yogurt voucher!
At Tesco the same morning with the Mrs. We split the shop into 2 lots, and used both used vouchers! The Mrs had 5 different ones, I had about 20, I went firsted, asked politely if I could use "some vouchers" the lady smiled and took the all!
Last week the lady and the checkout said no vouchers unless you buy the product. I politely asked for clarifaction of store policy, the manager cam and said 5 voucher all different, so I gave them 5 high value ones.
**Thanks to Ben500 an MSE user you provided lots of tips on this on several threads **
I also got £5 off my shop at Asda with the free Kamala wines offer on Linda McCartney Pies.
Some days the staff will make it difficult, never be rude or get angry, simply ask for clarification of store policy, and wait while they fob you off, wait for them to call HQ for clarification and then give you the money off.
My only problem is now I have NO VOUCHERS, just a few newspaper ones.Seth.0 -
i must admit i buy a lot of vouchers off ebay but would love to know where the sellers get them from! it is worth writing to companies and asking for coupons as an incentive to buy products or even complaining to them about anything negative about their products, i often say the product i have purchased looks nothing like the illustrated picture as more than often it does not.Just about to give up!0

Recently on MSE there were posts about razors with money off coupons > the cost of the item. I got £100+ of vouchers this way buying the products! I got the pampers vouchers by joining their club for new parents. Lots of newspaper ones from an MSE thread. Got £3 in vouchers from Quorn last week when some of their product was not as expected.
Perhaps there is a thread on MSE, sticky or otherwise to post coupon sources?
Our local Asda usually runs some promotion with 20 or 30p of some product. I get these from the trolleys outside the store it comes to £7 or £8. Tesco seem to take them all in one go if I'm lucky
I think the vouchers stuff is something that you have to be mindful off all the time.
Never thought of buying them on eBay before !Seth.0 -

And just to clarify... we are not doing anything illegal here, so it's not like we're getting away with anything. Tesco/Asda will get their money back from the manufacturer.
Oh yeah, don't forget, we're only talking manufacturers' vouchers here - not ones with a supermarket logo on them. E.g. Tesco will only accept their own Tesco vouchers if you've bought the item.
What I would suggest is test the water in your local supermarket with just a couple of vouchers and see how it goes. Go for a young bloke on the tills as well, if you can - they're the best!
PS. Welsh Dragon, my voucher stocks are really low, too!!! I'm using up all my 10p's and 20p's... Need some good newspaper vouchers soon!
had to laugh that you too have found that the young lad on checkout stick anything through. i travel an extra 12 miles to get to the young lad on sunday!!! (ohh err missus) he bungged through £10 sainsburys voucher £10 tesco clothing, £12 tesco off £60 shop, and anassortment of manufacures coupons totalling £9.50. After i took the clothes back that didn't fit tescos paid me £59 and gave me my shopping.- very little helps!! :rotfl:0 -

I know I will get negative comments for this - but using out of date coupons that Tesco's cannot redeem WILL STOP them excepting coupons in the future and make our shopping more expensive.
There are enough coupons out there to save a fair amount off your shop - just play fair and this should continue in the future. There is no need to run outside
