Thinkin of starting up my own mini charity project, need some help and advice please?

Options
Hiya everyone,

Right well Ive been making sock monkeys and other animals for a while now made about 5 of em in the last few weeks for people. I was shocked the other day to see the joy that such a little thing come give to some one and something inside me just snapped. I would love to be able to make these to help charities. My inital thought was to make them for this website:
www.postpals.co.uk however, i thought it would be unfair to make some for some children and not others n that was it.

I thought maybe if i started up a group on yahoo or summit i could try to get as many people as possible to donate socks and also get as many people as possible to help make them, that way all the children could have there own sock monkey to love, what do you think??

I must admit it sounds like a good plan but i have no idea where to start or what to do next? Could anyone offer me some advice??

Thanks
Claire :T
