  • all this talk of popcorn is making me hungry!! :D
It is unwise to pay too much but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, all you lose is a little money... that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot...it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better (John Ruskin - 19 ctry author, art critic & social reformer)

Nope! I was thinking I'd rather make toast with it :)

Have to say the programme does provide me with a bit more motivation...for about five minutes anyway!
  • thank god for that, i thought i was the mad one. must admit did feel a bit inspired and sadly tried that folding t shirt trick, but then settled down with a hot chocolate and choc biccy and remembered lifes too short.

I think the woman who does the voice over is absolultely fab. She manages to inject just the right amount of sarcasm into to her intros.

Yeah she's great! Is she the woman from Love Soup?

This thread is great! We all dislike AT, but we're all addicted!!

It doesn't really work, anyway, does it? Or am I missing something? Got the OH (who's spatial ability is far greater than mine) to try it, and yes, we did do it, but the back arm doesn't fold in like the front one. I'd rather stick to my method (from my days in shops) - place face down, fold the arms and an inch of shirt towards the middle, and flip the bottom up. Takes no longer, although not as cool-looking to do!

I know! I just stared at her, thinking "use a bloody brush or old cloth, woman!". I don't buy much bread, but when I do it's a fancy loaf from the deli - I'm not wasting that on the floor!

I did feel a bit motivated afterwards, so I have a nice tidy flat to go back to tonight. Didn't get to grips with her t-shirt folding though - I will stick to my own version which I learned working in Next as a student many years ago.

Definitely agree about the t-shirt folding!! I can do it and it looks swish when you do it, but lift the t-shirt and the bottom sleeve flaps around!!! Much better to stick with the "old" way.

I too tried the t short folding.....and although I got it looking kind of reasonable....I'll stick to 'the old way' of doing them as well...........btw.....it shows how to do this on that YouTube website aswell..........

I'm addicted to this programme, gets me motivated & my house does look better as a result. I saw the tip for getting grout white again using white vinegar & bicarb - does anyone know the mix for this though - I can't remember!
