    The lappie £706.64 from techbitsonline

The LG TV Pixmania £573.74 + P&P of around £20 but with 4% cashback through quidco

The Nas-E35HD £217 from Laskys with cashback through Quidco

I have used both Laskys and Pixmania, and very happy with them. Not used the techbits on line but they look very reasonable

    Sony VAIO VGN-CS11S/P

Why buy this when you could get a MacBook for around the same price?

If you're going to spend that kind of money, you might as well get something decent.

It was just a suggestion. Please don't feel you have to reply. :)

One could equally well ask why you thought it necessary to suggest?

As I said, it was just a suggestion.

Had I recommended a Dell, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

One could ask why you and Chunter thought it necessary to comment on my suggestion.

Presumably you think biitching about someone recommending a Mac is adding something of value to this thread.

We probably wouldn't. we'd be asking why you recommended a dell. The OP was asking about a specific item, which is PINK and as I think only dell do pink lappies, other than Sony, it might have been an alternative (not a particularly good one)

Not even Apple have gone that far yet

Good Lord, most of this thread is now about how I suggested considering an Apple computer instead of a Sony.

If the OP's only requirement in a laptop is that it's pink then fair enough, though I'm sure we could find some cheaper ones than a Sony VAIO.

I suggested an alternative. Big deal. I don't see why we have to discuss it.
