Oil fired Combi boilers?

Can anyone offer some advice about oil fired boilers please?
My plumber is pushing for me to go for a Grant but I've never heard of them - was thinking of a Worcester?
My main consideration is enough warm and VERY important the ability to get a shower that you do not have dance around the bath to catch the water droplets!
All thoughts welcome.
Thanks.:j

What I'm interested in is whether I can run a powerful shower off a Combi boiler and are there any other options to a Combi.
If there are, how do you rate them? Makes as well as models.
Thanks.:o0 -
Most OFTEC engineers I've spoken to would recommend a Grant over a Worcester. Grant is generally "first choice" as they pretty much specialise in oil fired boilers.
I think there are other factors that might determine how powerful your shower is going to be like water pressure and it may be that you'd be better off with a pumped system or a power shower - but hang around for proper responses to that question as I am pretty clueless on that issue - sorry.Warning ..... Good afternoon: The 'power' of your shower will be dependent on the combi's DHW flow rate (which is dependent on your mains pressure and flow rates and the output of the combi)...more on the Grant website. I would recommend a thermostatic shower mixer from either Mira or Aqualisa to go with your new combi. As stated, you can't run a 'power shower' from a combi.

Hi,
I've just replaced my very old Grant combi with a Worcester Bosch. Both gave loads of pressure and heat for showers. Our installer claimed Worcester were extremely reliable and offer a great repair service...dunno if he was biased or not0
