Hi all
Just wondering, me and my partner have booked a holiday to the maldives in march 2010.
We are just wondering if it is possible to change to a completely different type of holiday?! Say like snowboarding?!!
I know that sounds barmy, there are plenty of reasons that I wont go into as it's besides the point I suppose..
I do plan to ring customer services tomorrow, I've been trying to ring them and been on hold for a total 30 minutes today, on and off.So I was just wondering if anyone happens to know.
Thanks all

We changed our destination last year but kept the same dates. Holiday was booked through Thomson. We had to pay £40 per head to change and the difference in price of the holiday.0

lovely I was hoping that. That's what I read in the small print.
what if the price of the new holiday is cheaper? will we have to cover the difference?
thanks againembarrassed to say I used to work for barclays..sorry0 -
Not sure how it works if the new holiday is cheaper sorry. Think I just rang the sales team when we changed not customer services. They were very helpful and I had no problem altering our booking. Wasn't such a drastic change as yours lol. Just changed from Gran Canaria to Ibiza.0

No need to ring customer services, contact who you booked the holiday with and they'll tell you exactly how much it is to change if anything and do it for you. If its cheaper that shouldn't be a problem as at this stage you've only paid a deposit so you could always just cancel that trip and rebook the one you want if the changes are dearer than the deposit.0

I changed mine for this year, we were going to Egypt but changed it to turking it cost me £150 (£30 per person), the holiday is cheaper so it was just adjusted to the lower price for our balance due in June.
This was with First Choice too.0 -
we booked online, which is a bit awkward to get hold of them.No need to ring customer services, contact who you booked the holiday with and they'll tell you exactly how much it is to change if anything and do it for you. Anyway, I managed it, and as advised above, just the £35 pp to alter, and the difference in price doesnt matter.
Thank you allembarrassed to say I used to work for barclays..sorry0
