Costs of connecting to gas and main drainage systems

Hi we are looking at making an offer on a house which needs a bit of updating and would like to factor in the cost of a couple of things before offering a price.

First is property has septic tank system and ideally we would like it connected to main drains. Next door neighbours are on main drains, so pipes nearby. How much (roughly) for a connection?

Also property has a rather old oil central heating system, and not on mains gas. Again the neighbours are on mains gas, as is the rest of the town. How much do you think getting gas supply to property would be?

And how much to convert an old oil central heating system to an up-to-date gas one?

Thanks for any help.

Getting connected to mains drains is pretty expensive as you have to pay for plans, surveys, inspections and the final connection even if you dig the trenches and lay the pipework yourself.

Just the basic fees were going to cost over 1k without material costs etc - we decided to try out the seoptic tank in the end !
