Oh dear - what's happened to my door?

  • Take the door off, and stand it on the hinge side,
    cut a piece of timber something like 2x1 dressed to fit inbetween the gap at the bottom of the door.

    You'll have to plane it down to fit, then glue the inside of the door and tap the timber into place, leave it till the glue goes off, job done.

    It'll take you 30 mins.

    our bedroom door is just the same. We'd forgotten we'd left it like that until we had a new carpet fitted. The fitter said he couldn't fit a gripper in the doorway because the door was weak. I have my doubts about him, but anyway 3 years on we still haven't sorted out the door or had a gripper put on the thresh hold...

    Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
