How do I remove a beetroot stain from a polyester blouse? Happened yesterday, but just noticed stain at bottom of blouse, so is dry.

    Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has a os way of getting stains out of white cloths. Most do have some design on the front though.

Just thought I would ask here first rather than spending an absolute fortune on vanish or the like (that rarely works anyway!!!)

    Thanks

I know many of those products dont really work but there is one I know of that does work. It's called "Ace" and removes extremely bad stains on pretty much anything, or anything I've tried it on anyway. They tend to sell it in warehouse clearance stores and that sort of place for about £1 for a large bottle. You should try it if you can find it anywhere as it's not expensive and does work.

    Good luck!

I have been known to carefuly dab bleach on the offending stain and carefully rinse away from pattern to avoid discoloration. Admitted I have ruined the odd thing but 9 times out of 10 success!!!

Thats why my daughter has 2 winter uniforms (only 5 blouses though) and 5 summer dresses :rotfl: I swear if it can stain she'll manage it. Much worse now though since she started staying school dinners (free school meals for us) as she loves gravy and pizza and often gets them down her. Best yet has be to gravy down her COAT and another time she got it on her baseball cap

I bleach mine! I have 2 VERY messy kids who seem not to realise that the food is anywhere but inside their mouths so I often have ruined clothes.

White tops bleach quite well, just dilute some in abowl or bucket, stick the clothes in and in and then wash as usual straight awafterwards.

I bleach anything that is white, even if it has a print on the front. Fully enough it comes out OK. DD had a white tops with little coloured studs on the front and pink sleeves (one of the mock t-shirt tops things) and I tried to put just the white bit into the bleach solutions but the pink went in too and it has come out fine.

I figure I can keep on chucking them in the wash and they are never going to wear them again if they are mucky so one chance at bleaching is not a problem, if it gets ruined she was not wearing it anyway.

White school tops - soak them in a diluted bleach solution, it gets everything out!!
