Okay, so heres the dice;;;
:money: i get on the dog and bone to Wanadoo about my parents option 1 broadband package. Actually, let me go back to the beginning where it began, I calls up NTL and get my 10mb internet for £17.49 a month for 12 months (not bad eh martin?) . So i said i would be able to get my parents a better deal using similar tactics with wanadoo. No dice: wanadoo would not budge a penny, they are currently paying £17.99 a month for 1mb (too far from exchange for any faster), so my mom says shes gona stay with wanadoo for a while then cancel it because she doesnt use it much anyway and go back to dial up...
anybody here have any luck with wanadoo? have they got a retentions dept? also anybody got the 4-11 on cheapest dial up provider?
:beer: cheers

your mum could always migrate the wanadoo service to a different cheaper provider, and save money that way. for example, my current ISP (zazizam) offers the same limits that wanadoo offers (upto 2mb, 2GB usage), but for £13.99 a month... or £11.99 with their phone option - seems to be a good moneysaver to me, and I am happy with it for one thing, and so are my friends and family0

Phone up wanadoo and ask for a migration number, i phones and had no joy, then i was told to phone and ask for migration number, which i did and was put throught to some bloke who asked why i was leaving and i said you are offering new customers up to 8 meg for £14-99 whilst im paying £17-99 for 1 meg, he offered me £14-99 with 2 meg and no further contractgagglesdad wrote:Okay, so heres the dice;;;

I just called Wanadoo for a MAC code, got put through to customer care where they informed me that I was out of contract, had ben with them quite a while (aout 2 years) and they value my custom yada yada yada. I told them I was going to go to Pipex cos of their 2 mb, 2 month free 14.99 deal. Wanadoo have given me a free 2 mb upgrade, 1 month free, 6 months at £14.99 and have said that they have new tarrifs coming up from next month and that because I am out of contract, if I see a tarrif I want to move to with them, I can give them a call and they'll get it sorted.
Try just calling and saying to customer service you want the mac code, thy will put you straight through to customer care.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago - I phoned wanadoo and said I was changing to Tiscali because they were cheaper - the reduced my price to £14.99 straight away for 6 months and said I could reveiw it after the 6 months were up.0
