Quick query about Gamestation game issue

I bought 2 of the same (Pre-owned) game from our local Gamestation, along with some Microsoft Points.
The games were £19.99 each or £30 for 2.
On the receipt it also stated...3 item discount.
One of the games in particular was badly scratched but it was put through the machine they have for cleaning up discs, and it did look better. I made absolutely certain I could take it back if there was any problem with it not playing and I was told I had the same rights when buying a pre-owned game, as I did when buying new.
Game does not work. 2 different xbox machines state 'disk is unreadable, disk may be scratched or dirty'.
So obviously I'll be taking it back. My only concern is what refund I'll be given and how it will affect the 3 item discount and also the cost of the other game.
Any thoughts? Anyone had a similar issue?

They might have another copy in the shop... If not, then I guess they'd refund £10.01 (with the other game then being £19.99). Either select another game so you can have the same deal, or take the other game back with you, and insist on a full refund.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I have had a similar problem before. I bought a pre-owned copy of COD 3 from GAME and when I got home, the disk was scratched and unplayable. When I opened the game, I made sure the 28 day money back sticker thing was still identifiable and all original stickers were on the case. When I took it back, the guy was fine about it and just got me a new copy- even gave me a free 48 hour XBOX live code! Hope this is the same at Gamestation for you...The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Gamestation are normally really good for this type of thing, at least in my experience, most of the employees are gamers aswell and tend to understand. id be very suprised if you had any problems getting a refund if you wanted one.0
