PayPal fees for selling a van?

Any paypal/ebay experts clarify exactly how much paypal fees a seller will be charged to accept a payment of £1200 .
Buyer will use a credit card to pay through paypal.
[no scam or danger here .... all above board and safe :D]

Is it the usual 3.4% +20p or are there different fees for ebay motors?

don't do it you will be leaving yourself wide open for a paypal reversal. The buyer will have your van and the money.

Don't panic folks :p .... like I said, it is all above suspicion .... buyer is related to wifes family and I have known him for years.
He's offered to pay Paypal fees if I let him use CC via paypal, but not being a regular on ebay I would want to quote the correct figure ... so .........

Anybody know how much fees are attached to a £1200 selling price.

thanks for all the concern - if it was a normal punter then no probs ... cash or bank draft [I'm not that daft ]

Can't he give you a CC cheque so you don't get hit by fees?

    What's a CC cheque? - new one on me:confused:

Anyway, as far as I can work out it should be £1200 + 3.4%[ £40.80 +20p] =£1241 in total ?

Anybody knows different let me know:D

Fantastic pinkgem - just what I was searching for .... I can send him the link and let him see for himself.
I'll mention the cheque thing to him and see what he says - either way it's his money

There's defo no funny paypal ripoff fee to pay with ebay motors though is there?

    thanks again

I believe a CC chq will be cheaper as they charge around 3% so it would cost £36 in charges. He only has to ask his CC supplier for a few chqs.Could even be less.
