3 weeks parking in Inverness?

Options
Any suggestions on where to park my car in Inverness for 3 weeks?

Parking at the airport is coming in at £93!

I'm considering leaving out at the Retail park at Tescos and taking the Airport bus out.

  • Rose Street possibly? - I think if your car is caught in the retail you get these tickets placed on them for inapproprate (sp) use!

I know that Rose Street do 24 hour parking - just have to price it as you need - not sure of anywhere else unfortunately -sorry!

I've sent you a PM re parking info in Inverness. I was having problems logging into the site. Also, buses from the airport leave from Falcon Square, not Falcon Street as I stated in the PM.

Smiley_Mum has told me that you can get a £20 months parking pass for Cathedral and Portland car parks in town so I think I'll try for one of them.

Not sure how "legal" any parking ticket the Retail park out at Tescos could give. They could leave a snotty note but thats about it, theres no signs up saying there's a max time :L

I parked at Stoneyfield for a couple of weeks and my car was fine when I got back. There is lots of free parking there beside th Snowgoose, Howdens, Holiday Inn Express and a few other businesses there. Might be worth considering. There is a Travel lodge there also but they charge £3 a night but I would imagine that is just for guests.
  • Thanks,

I'd thought of Snowgoose etc as well, yes Travelodge charge £3 now, just park at Snowgoose and walk the 15 yards to Traveldoge :)

Unfortunately the £20 for a months parking at the Cathedral Carpark in town. I spoke to the Council, the tickets are for the calender month (1st to 30/31st) so I would need to buy TWO months to cover the 3 week period I need :(

Sorry to hear it wasn't such a good deal after all. If I come across anything else, I'll post it up.

  • You could always park at Raigmore hospital, in the main car park.... it's free now, and it's £1.35 for the bus to town, I think there's a service to the airport from Falcon Square (number 1 or 1A) and it's £3 single.

Apologies if this info isn't too great - my only experience of Inverness is when OH was in Raigmore!

Theres a park and fly facility at the industrial estate beside the airport - £50 for 2 weeks, so I would think about £75 for 3 weeks.

  • I assume you are leaving your car to go off on holiday? Would it not be cheaper to leave your car at home and ask a friend to give you a lift to the airport?

Not when you live on the Isle of Skye :D

and to the OP who mentioned the long stay at the airport - that is the whole point of looking for other parking, they are quoting £90 for our length of stay.
