you will have customs in wash just make sure to get off first ish to go through and you willl have time. check how many ted flights go to orlando there will prob be a few , we had a delay at atlanta once,cos of security probs and they put us on next flight no trouble at all breaking the flight up is better than flying into sanford enjoy the time to strech your legs0

United airlines are a major carrier in the US. They also operate a pseudo "budget airline" called TED (uniTED).
You should not see your bags once they're checked in in UK, but it's always wise to ask as the Americans cx their paranoia at the drop of a bin liner....
Tip
Once off the plane in US stand in the 'Immigrant' line closest to the "US citizens only line" for entry to the US.
Once the US line has finished they turn it into the 'Immigrants' line and call others over.
