hi pixi.
i cant see a way round this problem as we have been turned down before as we were on benefits and were told we have to have a guarantor, even tho they did a credit check on us which came back fine and a reference from our current agent.we managed to get a friend to be the guarantor but unfortunately when they credit checked her she had ccjs and we were told that unless we could find somebody else we had lost the house.
apparently a way round this is to offer to pay 6 months rent up front! however most people are unable to do this.0 -
I'm not sure where the single parent bit comes into it, but if you are unemployed and on benefits, then you're more of a risk to a landlord, and will therefore need a guarantor.
The way round it is to pay 6 months rent upfront. Could you not get a job?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
