Holiday Search Without Destination Specified

Would like to find out what is available for summer holidays. Don't have a destination in mind. Are there any travel sites that allow you to give departure airport and dates and let you see what is available in your price range. Tight budget and have had to give up on our intended destination of West Coast USA as can't afford.

I would try a narrow your search down because it will take you ages to looking through every departure date and destination

Where can you fly from?

you can search for a holiday with just date , departure airport and party size with Portland holidays.

There's 2 of us flying from Scotland late June/early July. Had decided to go to USA and can't afford it so don't have any further inspiration. Know that we don't want to go to a destination where night clubs and excessive drinking are the main attraction. Like places that are scenic and have some sightseeing. Like the sunshine but cant cope with excessively hot so have avoided Greece. Like Italy but have been there a lot and looking for a change.

Easy Jet fly from Edinburgh to Nice in the south of France. Never been, but heard good things and don't imagine it would be unbearable heat there, and I'm guessing plenty to do. Tons of apartments to rent too at decent prices.

lastminute.com lets you put as little info in the search as you want.

..and I was going to suggest Sicily, but you say you've been there lots before... how about Sardinia or for a slightly french twist Corsica?

Went last July, had a great time but the temperature was in the high 30s most of the week. I hadn't expected it to be quite that hot either!
If you can stand the heat its well worth it, the coast and mountains are beautiful, loads of lovely towns and villages and hardly any inebriated Brits.
