Hauppauge is a good choice. I've nver had a problem with them and they offer good support.0

I'm glad you showed me this one .....a mate of mine said to get a digital one...so I suppose he meant a card to receive digital channels as well.albertross wrote:If you are in a freeview region, I'd get a digital TV model, this is at the bottom end of Hauppauge's range, and only does mono TV sound, and analogue channels.

As has already been suggested, you are best of witha digital tv card. SKy TV is not possible using just a tv card but Telewest (but not ntl) apparently is, but it has to be a certain type of tv card. I think it needs to be a conexant chipset: http://www.chris-tv.com/cards.html
Definately get yourself a digital card with a normal aerial socket and a coax socket.
Edit: Best site out there for TV Card stuff:
http://www.tv-cards.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=12107&highlight=sky, I have a own leadtek.com tv card which still works grand.0 -

Hope this helps0 -
Have been looking at this card but not sure of my pc is good enough

I've got an AMD athlon xp 2400+ 2.00GHz 512MB ram.
I think the card requires a pentium 3

albertross wrote:This one is cheaper, but the aerial is a bit small (you need a good signal for freeview). You should be able to get the Hauppauge cheaper if you shop around.

The freecom card has an aerial socket on it so you can use a better aerial and bin the diddy one that comes with it.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
Does the freecom one require any sort of installation from the usb stick? Would be great to use at work!0

Freecom needs its TV viewer installed to work.. I got one of these a week ago and its been great. Freecom is actually a renamed Yakumo.0
