how do you remove tipp-ex from skin?

hello

my friends daughter decided to tippex herself and the house.

how are we meant to remove it from her?

we've tried soap and water and nail varnish remover!

    Baby oil? Moisturising cream?

ETA: bear in mind it is flammable!

Keep an eye on her to check on any drowsiness/dizziness from the vapours/fumes. Open the windows because breathing the fumes can bring on the drowsiness/dizziness.

Water really should have been sufficient to get it off her skin though.

If she has inhaled any or swallowed any - seek medical advice!

Face/body scrub? Suppose it depends how old she is and how sensitive her skin is..

theres some stuff called sticky stuff remover
or can't you use tippex thinners.

i would advise against tippex in nearly all circumstances!

Leave it on to teach her a lesson lol

It'll come off with the top layer of her skin naturally.

Lol reminds me when i was a teen, i put tin foil in my hair, and a tipex stripe over my nose to look like my idol Adam Ant, mother got the scourer pad on me.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

:rotfl: Sorry but this really made me laugh! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It just reminded me of an old fashioned child with a pinnyore and bonnet on saying "no mother no" :D

Lemon juice can sometimes work where nail polish remover fails.

Although i use this for getting fake tan off of hands lol.

Other than that, a soak in the bath and gentle exfoliator/loofah might work.

I did that last year (sure there's a thread on here which I posted at the time)

Me and OH were having a few drinks one night and I got my silly head on - I used Tippex and painted a big white line over my face, ran in to OH and sang at the top of my voice..

"Stand and deliverrrrrrrr, you're money or your life"

He looked at me, looked at my hand which was holding the Tippex, went    , then went mad at me and called me a daft cow :o :rotfl: :rotfl:

It took me hours to get it off and I was left with burn marks and scabs across my cheeks :o

    Never again.

I scrubbed and picked and peeled and scratched it, that was the only way to get it off.

Agree with Shellsuit - scrub and scrub, it'll hurt but it'll come off.

One of my receptionists shook a bottle of Tippex not realising the lid wasn't on properly - it went everywhere. Didn't wash out of their uniforms or teh carpet or the new office chairs I had just bought!

They had it on their faces for a couple of days afterwards with red patches where they had been scrubbing it - was very funny at the time.

Where does the time go?

Like aspiring suggested, baby oil should work. It works on gloss paint on my hands so worth a go as it will be kind to her skin. Give it a gentle rub with oil then wash with soapy water.
