discounts for ferry to holland?

I am trying to find a cheap ferry to holland. We live in the north of the country and would like to possibly go over night from hull or newcastle, for the week 6th-10th april as I fancy a cheap center parcs hols with the kids, but the ferry prices are coming back at £300 +

any advice or codes around

Thanks

  • the only deal i know of is P&O ferries they did do a deal 2 4 1 its worth checking there website to see if the deals is in april we went to bruge from hull and that was £69.00 in feb
  • Try and avoid travelling out or back on a Friday / Saturday as these tend to fill quickly and the prices rise quickly. If you can get a mid-week deal at center parcs you may get a cheaper deal on the ferry.

The 2 for 1 is only on Minicruises and would not apply to normal bookings.

The deals via dover are a lot cheaper, we dod calais to amsterdam last year its not to bad a trip.

I would recommend the tunnell rather than the ferry as much much quicker

tunnel is fine but, I enjoy the ferry, it gives the kids chance to run around (5 and 3) before getting back in the car for a few more hours on the road. and you can't beat sea air! with diesel fumes for added thickness

I prefer the tunnel, the ferry takes so long to go board, then the crossing then the other end.

With the tunnel we just turn up, have a coffee, board (You go through french customs in England) then you drive off the other end (About 30 minute journey) and you are straight on the motorway. We tend to do longish trips a few times a year and the tunnel saves us quite a lot of time.

P.S Don't buy your duty frees at the tunnel or on the ferry as very expensive, stop off at Adenkirke which is right next to the motorway on the Belgium boarder or Holland is quite cheap for Golden Virginia (About £4 a pouch last time I went but may have gone up due to the exhange rate)

P.S The fag shops in Adenkirker prefer you to pay in Sterling!!!

Have a look at this site as has loads of info on ferrys and the duty frees etc. The trick to getting a cheap ferry or tunnel trip is go when everyone else does not want to go. That normally means after about 1pm at the weekends

These prices are for the mini cruise, sail overnight, day abroad, sail back overnight. We are going on 29th March for this price. For anyone who goes and upgrades on board the price is £20 each way. Its £20 for both ways upgrading on line or telephoning them beforehand.
The two for one deals usually run from Sept to March end.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

We go to the Centerparcs in Holland , near Eindhoven, I find it works out cheaper to fly from Stansted and get a taxi to the Park,

    De Kemperveenen
Ryanair Stansted to Eindhoven approx £50 Return, Taxi to Park about 80 Euro each way
When you factor in cost of ferry, petrol etc and that once you are in Centreparcs you dont need the car, I dont think you can beat flying
