Someone help me please. Cant tune in Sony Bravia!!!!!

I have just purchased a sony bravia KD40L4000, I am not technical at all and thought this would tune itself in. It has to a certain extent I have all the channels in but I have no ITV or Channel 4!!! I have tried pressing all sorts of buttons but cant get it on. Can anyone on here help me, I cant even fine the right button on the remote that says tuning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you having problems with the digital (Freeview) setup or the analogue setup?
While I look for a handbook, are you sure you have a known good working aerial that has previously worked with Analog and Digital TV.

Check your aerial as above make sure its plugged in then go to page 25 of the manual, find the TV settings menu and rerun autostartup.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Thank you for this thread I have just managed to manually tune ITV 3 on our digital tv and am now a family hero!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
