Very small saver question

I'm a very small saver with not much to invest compared to some but since reaching retirement I've actually got a little bit of money put away. I have £900 in the Barclays Tax Haven ISA and £500 in a Halifax 6 month Guaranteed Reserve account. Both of these are due to mature, for best rates, in May. I won't make a fortune but every penny I earn is a bonus (and I earned my pension honestly, Fred  ).

Is it too soon to think of where to invest the £1400 next, or should I be looking for somewhere now? In this climate I haven't a clue what to do, or how to go about getting a few more pennies for my money. Sad I know but I could get quite excited about squeezing one more penny out of my little 'investments'! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Wait until the new ISA rates come out in April and then put all of your money in one, but give it a few weeks to see what is around.
Martin usually posts the best rates on this site.

Take a look here for an up to date on what's available, and the pitfalls etc:
