Egg - do I need to be careful

  • Thank you, 40079 :).

I was thinking of getting the Halifax card to reduce the monthly interest payments on the £1,150 on my Barclaycard. I do have £3,075 in my ISA but this is my "emergency fund".

At the moment I won't apply for any more ccs, I'm hoping to apply for a 0% one for my Christmas expenses - obviously later in the year :D - by then I am planning for my £1,150 debt to be more manageable, hopefully £200 or less :).

I want to be a good saver, but I find it difficult to control my temptation to spend :o .

    I owe £1,247 more than I have in savings :( .

Note to 40079 above - it might not always be best to reveal all about your financial affairs. You never know who might be reading...

Thanks, I certainly wasn't planning on giving any more info than I have already. I suppose if someone at Tesco is reading this they might be able to trace me from the info posted- seems a bit far fetched though. Is this what you are referring to or have I made a more basic error?

The ability to post under a pseudonym is very useful of course.

The £15k Egg transfer to Tesco and deposit to Halifax has all gone through OK by the way.

That's a pseudonym?  I thought you were my neighbour -- he always calls himself "40079". ;)

Yes, I wouldn't have put the exact amount on the current credit limit.  You can edit it to say "about 4 times as much" or something like that.  Just go back to that post and click "modify" at the top of it.
I have five stars! This doesn't mean that I know anything about any of the things I post. I could be a raving lunatic, or a brilliant genius, or just some guy on the internet. In fact, I could be all three at the same time.

If anything I say makes sense, then do it. If not, don't. Don't blame me or my stars if you do something stupid because I suggested it. I'm responsible for my own stupidity only. You are responsible for yours.

Why, I don't even have five stars anymore! Aren't you glad you aren't responsible for my stupidity?
