Hi,
I have tried and tried and tried and tried to get my dvd player and freeview box connected to my TV. But I can only get a picture and no sound. Everything works and I did get it working by accident. There is one scart scoket on the dvd player and two on the freeview box and three sockets to accomadate them in the back of the TV. There is also an RF loop through going from the freeview box to the tv and a co-axial aerial going into the freeview. Along with the Red, Yellow and white audio cable going from the DVD player.
How should they be connected? As I cannot get why they are not working?
Please advise

you have answered your own questions! sorry but they put the words on there to make it clearer, not more confusing!!
ok, put a scart from the dvd player into '1' on the tv.
put a scart in the 'tv' socket of the freeview box and the other end in the 2ns tv scart socket.
ignore red and white cables.
co axial (arial) goes into the freeview box.
if your on the dvd, use tv remote to select scart 1
if your on the freeview, use tv remote to select scart 2.
if your tv is old or slightly crapified, jiggle the scart cables as a slight miss will leave you with no sound. make sure the scart cables are not faulty.
a fail-safe would be to use the red/white/yellow cable with the dvd player to the tv as this will tell you if the scart cable is the fault or the tv.
maybe get a man to look at it, im presuming your of the female persuasion? (sorry i had to get that in!)Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

I have the following done
TV freview scart to TV scart 1
TV dvd scart to TV scart 2
The freeview power is off. I have a dvd playing at the moment and still got no sound at all. They have both worked seperately by accident but I dont know how I did it. !!!!Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0
