Taxi or Hire Car - Menorca

Hi, looking for advise if possible.
Going to Menorca in May, I got a price for taxi from Mahon to Cala Bosch of £176:mad: , Cheapest off web is about 160 euro. But checking Holiday Autos I can get a car small one admittedly 'seats 4' for £109 + insurance = £128

Any thoughts whats best, thought car even if used for airport transfer is probably worthwhile, any other car companies worth trying for Menorca -

we've been tp Menorca for the last two years. First we went to calan bosch and ordered our transfers online before we went which was ok in theory but we overestimated hw long it would take to get baggage etc and had to stand around for 20 mins waiting for it to arrive

Last time we just got a taxi straight from outside the aiport-we had a flight that landed about mid-day but had no problems.
for both cases tough that price is extortionate!! we were 4 adults with suitcases and think we paid £80 for both ways!

On car hire, we used Poppy cars, a company owned by British ex-pats. They delivered the car to our villa and picked it up again at the end of the hire. They were very cheap and gave great customer service, I'd highly recommend them.

Hope some of that helps, and just shout if you want any tips on Cala'n Bosch or where to go on the rest of the Island
