I am very lucky in that I have a fresh fish shop in the village where I live and he is excellent and very knowledgeable. he will if you want top 'n' tail a fish for you, and gut it as well as his knives could be used it a surgeons theatre. I adore fresh fish and sometimes I will drive to Whitstable about 40 minutes away from me and buy it so fresh its almost jumping off the dish. I am not squeamish about gutting or preparing fish though as when my DD and DGS go fishing when we are on holiday on the IoW we usually eat what they have caughte and a sea bass that was swimming that morning off the coast is delicious cooked in butter and diced red pepper for dinner in the evening :)My grandsons are always chuffed to bit to eat what's been caught and we have been lucky enough to have had a few free meals from their efforts .

No wonder she was asking about using octopus.:rotfl:
She has necroposted on a thread that is over thirteen years old!

I'm sure that mrsbojangles has found a place to buy her fish from after all this time - in fact, she's not logged on to MSE for thirteen years. :rotfl:

But nothing to stop posters adding to the thread if they wish - as long as they are aware it's a very old thread. :)
