Leaky rim

Have a relatively old Volvo 850. The rim is leaking on one of the alloys. Have had the tyre removed and resealed to little effect.
I understand that this was a common fault with this model.
Any suggestions on further action would be much appreciated.

When I had that problem I fitted a tube and put the wheel on the back axle. ( In case it did blow out).
    Never had any poroblem.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • Thanks for the quick reply. Have a feeling that tubes are now illegal.
  • On my 940 Volvo I had same bother with all the wheels and had to fit tubes into them and never had any bother with that.Trouble was that getting tubes now is very hard so went round breakers and got wheels that didnt have any leaks.Strange thing was the old wheels that I took of my car were made in Italy and ones with no problem were made in Germany.Makes you think doesnt it when we think the 940 was about last of true Volvos made in Sweden
